41st Annual Juried Exhibiton
September 22 – October 21, 2018
About the Exhibition
Now in its 41st year, the Annual Juried Exhibition has become a September tradition for many, drawing artists and viewers from all over the Northeast. Providing an exhibition venue for both established and emerging artists, The Guild invites all regional artists 16 years and older to participate.
About The Juror:
Denise Bibro began exhibiting the work of contemporary artists and artists’ organizations in corporate and alternative spaces in 1980. Since then, she has directed exhibitions at the Lever House Lobby at the Lever Corporation on Park Avenue, Crystal Pavilion, American Standard Lobby in Midtown Manhattan, and the Rockefeller Townhouse Lobby on 54th Street, as well as other locations. She also established an art salon at the 41 Union Square building. In 1987, she opened her first gallery, Denise Bibro Fine Art, and remained there for ten years until moving to her current Chelsea location.
She has been a juror and lecturer for many exhibitions and various art organizations, including Chautauqua Institute, and The Salmagundi Club. She has also participated in many art fairs, including Art Miami, Art Context and Art Chicago.
Her artists and exhibitions have been well received in many publications including: The New York Times, ARTnews, Art in America, The Wall Street Journal and Artform.
Denise Bibro Fine Art presents and promotes emerging, as well as established artists, in her gallery and in collaboration with other curators and dealers. There is an emphasis on painting, works on paper, sculpture, and multi-media works.
