ArtWalk Ridgefield 2026

About the Event
Now in its 13th year, ArtWalk Ridgefield transforms downtown Ridgefield into a strolling art gallery featuring the work of local and regional artists. Hosted by the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, ArtWalk is a fundraising event benefiting the Guild and celebrating the arts throughout the community. Participation is juried.
Accepted artists will be paired with participating merchants and exhibit work in storefront windows and/or inside businesses throughout downtown Ridgefield, including Main Street and Bailey Avenue.
The Opening Weekend Festivities include:
- Friday, August 21, 2026 | 5–8 PM – Meet & Greet with Artists, Live Music
- Saturday, August 22, 2026 | 12–4 PM – Artist Day with live demonstrations, Live Music
Exhibition Information
If accepted:
- Artists should be available and are strongly encouraged to be present during Open Weekend festivities on August 21st and August 22nd. This is beneficial to you as the artist and many store owner require artists to be present for the Opening Weekend. If you cannot be present, please email exhibitions@ridgefieldguild.org at any point if you cannot be present.
- Final artwork selection and placement in store will be coordinated between the artist and assigned merchant.
- Work may be displayed in storefront windows and/or inside the business. This is decided by the store owner.
- All exhibited artwork must be for sale.
- Artwork must remain installed through September 6, 2026, unless sold.
- Sold work may be replaced with new work.
- Artists may bring bins of small original artworks to sell outside during opening weekend events (flat work only – see updated policy below)
- Artists and merchants are expected to work cooperatively throughout the event.
Important Policy Update
The sale of small merchandise items such as:
- notecards
- stickers
- magnets
- bookmarks
- ornaments
- similar gift items
will not be permitted during ArtWalk.
This policy helps maintain the focus on exhibiting and selling original artwork. Artists interested in selling gift items are encouraged to apply to the Festive Home event instead.
Important Dates
- Week of August 17, 2026 — Artwork Drop-Off in Stores
- Friday, August 21, 2026 | 5–8 PM — Opening Meet & Greets
- Saturday, August 22, 2026 | 12–4 PM — ArtWalk Artist Day
- Sunday, September 6, 2026 — Exhibition Closes
- After Sunday September 6th – all artwork must be picked up from locations, unless otherwise arranged by stores/owners
