Art Journaling & Collage with Mari Gyorgyey – Mondays 1-3pm

Mari Gyorgyey Archive: Adult

In this course, you will create a keepsake from cover to cover which will be an expression of your own mythology and genealogical background. Envision yourself collecting 2 dimensional personal items (physical and digital) which when put together will shed light on who you are and where you came from.  In this class, you will combine this personal information with painting, writing, drawing and collage to make a book unique to you. You will have the choice of working in a pre-made book or binding your pages with basic stitching and create covers. Varnishes and gloss mediums among many other materials will be discussed and learned.

All of these items are just suggested ideas. Think about what you would like to work with.
Example: if certain books interest you you can print out book reviews, write quotes from the book, bring in pictures of places you imagine a location to look like…obsession of a topic encouraged!
