Have you ever wanted to try to paint but weren’t sure what materials to buy and color seems overwhelming?  Ever want tory your hand at acrylic or watercolor?  What even is gouache?  

Every week we get a new medium to explore.  We will learn some techniques, learn about materials and have fun experiementing.  Along the way we will have lessons on color theory, color mixing, color palettes and more.  Paint materials will be available each week for class use.  

Most supplies are provided.  Limited required materials list below:

Michelle Schaffer holds a B.F.A from the Rhode Island School of Design. She works out of her studio in New Haven, where she explores her passion for the figure and works to communicate the complexities and beauty of the human form in relation to it’s environment.
