This class is for students who have some previous experience with watercolor. Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore, and the rest will follow.

We will explore different types of materials, allowing you to be as free or controlled as you want to be in your image making. Experiment with painting the figure from images, flowers from life, and any subject matter you are interested in. We will look at different artists working in the medium. You will be encouraged to try new things and find a way of creating that feels authentic to you.

About Michele:

Michele received her BA in Fine Art from St. Lawrence University and continued her education in New York at The School of Visual Arts, among other institutions. She currently lives and works out of her studio in Ridgefield, CT. Her main areas of focus are figure, portrait and floral painting. She takes an exploratory and interpretive approach to painting rather than strictly academic.
