Introduction to Painting with Christa Forrest – Tuesdays 10am-1pm
Christa Forrest Archive: Adult
Join artist Christa Forrest for this introduction to painting. Students will explore and expand upon various painting techniques and processes. In addition, the instructor will introduce exercises and prompts to guide students and help them fully realize their artistic potential. Experience in painting or artistic background is not required, just a willingness to experiment, explore and find your own creative process.
We will use acrylics in class, but will explore other mediums as the class progresses. Students will paint from life, still life and from photos and learn how to develop an artistic eye in tackling a sound creative process. Basic drawing techniques will be introduced as well as color theory and perspective. Students will learn skills to develop and embrace their own artistic style and voice. This class is perfect for those new to painting as well as artists that are looking for an environment to “just paint”.
