Landscape Painting with Sam Morrow – Wednesdays 10am-1pm
Sam Morrow Adult Fall
Experiment with different styles of landscape painting, including traditional, representational or abstract. Students are welcome to explore these various styles or paint in their preferred style. Sam will go through all basic processes from under painting, through body painting, glazing, scumbling, wet into wet, wet onto dry, transparency and opacity, to name a few. The aim is to bring out the uniqueness in the student and all levels are welcome from absolute beginner to advanced. This class is for both oil and acrylic painters.
Note: If weather permits, this class might meet off site at locations such as Weir Farm and Topstone Park.
Recommended Paint Colors:
Ivory Black, Flake White, Titanium White, Zinc White, Veridian Green, Terre Verte (Earth Green), Permanent Green, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Prussian Blue, Light Red (actually a sepia brown), Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson (‘lake’ is best but ‘permanent’ will be ok), Burnt Sienna,
Raw Umber, Cadmium Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ocre

Artist’s Thinners (Mona Lisa brand is good).
Flat, medium-sized palette.
Paint rags (old T Shirts, sheets etc…)
