Join our 2 evening Learn to Play Mahjong event at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists. This 2 part lesson will introduce you to the game of American Mahjong, in a gallery filled with art from our Mad For Modern show.

Lessons will be held on Tuesday June 16 and 23, from 6:00-8:30pm at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists, 34 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield (across the street from the Ridgefield Theater Barn).

Day 1 on June 16: Mahjong 101

Learn Mahjong basics, how to recognize tiles, build legal hands, and play a complete game without being overwhelmed by advanced strategy.

Day 2 on June 23: Mahjong 102

Here the goal shifts from “How do I play?” to “How do I play well” through guided game play.

Class can hold up to 8 people.

Signups are on first come, first serve basis.

Feel free to bring snacks and beverages. This is a BYO event.
