This two-day workshop will help students develop their painting skills, using  oil or acrylic paints. The instructor will set up a still life in the studio, and will guide students through the process of composing a well-designed painting and executing accurate drawing with paint. The workshop will help students see and interpret value and color relationships. Students will gain an organized method to mix the correct color and value resulting in three dimensional forms and paintings with atmosphere. 

About Cindy: Cindy Wagner acquired her love and skills for painting as a teen while working with her dad creating sets for the movies, the NYC ballet and theater. Cindy’s paintings depict life’s moments, real people and places. She graduated SUNY at Buffalo with knowledge of human anatomy and a degree in Physical Therapy. She continued studying art at Silvermine School of Art and with individual master artists. She is Past Chairman of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, Juried Member of the Salmagundi Club, Juried member of Oil Painters of America, and The Westport Artist Collective. Cindy is a board member of the Commission for the Arts in the Town of Weston. She currently teaches painting and drawing at several locations in Connecticut. Her work has been exhibited in galleries, museums and universities. She is the recipient of several awards including 2022 Connecticut Society of Portrait Artist Faces and Figures, 2020 Mixmaster at the Mattatuck Museum CT Visitor Award, 2017 Southport Portrait Festival Painting Award and Jurors Award, and Honorable Mention 2019 Dreams Juried Exhibition Rene Soto Gallery CT.
