Creating comics is quite the process. You have to use your wirting and artistic skills in order to make a compelling story that people will be inspired by. But in the end, you will walk away with a phenomenal piece of work that you can come back to time and time again.

In this course, young artists will learn the comic making process from begining to end. Under the instuction of Isabelle Abramson, a graduate from the School of Visual Arts and a professional comic book artist and writer, students will be taken step-by-step through the comic making process. From drafting their first script, to character design and coloring, kids will have a unique experience in the world of making comics, and by the end of the course, have their own comic to take along with them on their artistic journey.

Returning students may continue to work on their stories from previous sessions, or start a new story. Isabelle can provide new, more advanced exercises for students as their skill level progresses.

Isabelle Abramson is a graduate from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She graduated with a BFA in Comics, and specializes in sequential visual storytelling, fantasy and long-form stories such as graphic novels and long-running series. Isabelle teaches at the Scribble Art Workshop after school education program.
