Ridgefield Guild of Artists’

Mad for Modern

June 6th - June 28th 2026

Mad for Modern celebrates the enduring influence and radical spirit of modern art—an era that reshaped how we see, think, and create. This exhibition invites contemporary artists to engage with the bold experimentation, abstraction, and conceptual innovation that defined modernism, reimagined through a fresh, present-day lens.

We are seeking work that embraces risk, challenges tradition, and reflects an individual point of view. Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that move beyond straightforward representation and explore new approaches to form, color, material, and idea. All media will be accepted, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and works on paper.

In todays visually saturated world, Mad for Modern welcomes work that feels alive with curiosity—work that pushes boundaries, questions expectations, and carries forward the adventurous, rule-breaking spirit at the heart of modern art.
