Festive Home Call for Call Member Donated Canvases

Every year, we ask our members to take a canvas home, paint a themed work, and donate it back to the Guild to sell as an additional fundraiser during Festive Home. It’s always been a big hit for our shoppers!  In keeping with our “Reimagined” theme, we have a new and different vision this year.  We plan to re-use, re-cycle, re-purpose and up-cycle when we can, so we are gesso-ing old 10×10 canvases. You sign one (or two) out and paint it with one of two themes: Ornaments (or Colorful Balls) or the Norway Maple Tree on our property.  (It’s believed to be the largest in the state and centuries old! See Tree below). Google to see samples of ornament paintings for inspiration or to use them as a starting point for you painting.  It can be abstract or realistic, whatever you choose, inspired by the tree or ornament themes. Pick-up and sign-out a canvas, paint it and return to the Guild either any day before November 12th (we’ll have a cooler outside in case we are not in at the time you come.  Or, deliver on Friday, November 12 or Saturday, November 13, 2-4pm.  After that, we have to hang them!
